COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland head volleyball coach Janice Kruger announced today the signing of Jade Brown to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Terrapins beginning in 2004. Brown, an outside hitter from Atlanta, Ga., was a two-time All-State selection in addition to being named the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's North Fulton Player of the Year her junior and senior seasons.

"Jade is a physical talent with potential and drive to be an excellent collegiate player," commented Kruger. "She has many natural gifts to draw from, and I predict she will be an outstanding Terrapin volleyball player."

Brown was a member of the Area 6-AAAA All-Tournament team as well as the Area 6-AAAA Player of the Year and led Riverwood High School to a 38-14 record.
