DALLAS - The American Volleyball Coaches Association released its All-America teams and Terrapin standouts Lynnsy Jones and Aimee Huddleston received honorable mention nods. The Terrapins completed one of the most successful seasons in school history, winning the ACC tournament and advancing to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Jones, who leaves Maryland with her name all over the school record books, capped off a stellar four-year career by leading the Terrapins to their third ACC championship in school history. Named the conference tournament's Most Valuable Player, Jones finished the year the team's leader in kills (3.72 per game). The right side hitter, hailing from Castro Valley, Calif., leaves as the school record-holder for kills in a game, kills in a season, career services aces and aces in a season. She was a second-team All-ACC selection.

Huddleston, a junior setter from Keller, Texas, was the team's co-captain and orchestrated a Terrapin offense that hit .262 for the year. She shattered the single-season assist record in 2003, finishing with 1,669 for a per-game average of 12.5. An all-around threat, Huddleston was the only Maryland player to average at least one assist, block, dig and kill per game, and was a first-team All-ACC selection.

This is the first All-America honor for both players, and Maryland's first since Eden Kroeger earned honorable mention honors from Volleyball Magazine in 1997.
