The Maryland women's basketball game at Arizona on Jan. 29, 2005 is scheduled to tip off at 4 p.m. MT. The matchup will be televised live on Fox Sports Net and on tape delay on Comcast SportsNet at 11 p.m. ET that same evening.
With the announcement of this televised game, the Terps are slated to make at least five television appearances, including three national telecasts. Maryland will be on Fox Sports Net for its home contest vs. North Carolina on Jan. 9 and then on ESPN2 when ACC Champion Duke visits Comcast Center on Feb. 13.
Last year, Maryland was on TV nine times, including four national broadcasts.
Maryland is coming off of an 18-13 season and a run to the second round of the 2004 NCAA Tournament. The Terps return seven letterwinners, including three starters, from last year's team. Head coach Brenda Frese and the Terps also welcome the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation, which consists of four nationally touted players.
The Terrapins kick off the 2004-05 season with an exhibition game on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. against UMMC Ekaterinburg. Maryland officially opens the year at Appalchian State on Nov. 19 and tip off the home slate on Nov. 21 vs. Siena at 2 p.m.
