COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The Maryland women's basketball team moved up two spots to 22nd in this week's Associated Press poll. Three ACC teams are currently ranked in the top 25.
In their season-opening weekend, the Terrapins claimed two decisive victories, defeating Appalachian State, 94-74, on the road in the inaugural contest and capturing their home opener over Siena, 73-52.
Maryland faces an early test when it takes on second-ranked LSU in the opening game of the Coors Classic in Boulder, Colo., on Friday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. ET. The Terps will play either host Colorado or Penn on Saturday, Nov. 27 to close out the tournament.
Fellow ACC opponents North Carolina and Duke are ranked fifth and 10th, respectively. Arizona, which is 25th in this week's poll, hosts the Terps in a nationally televised contest on Jan. 29.
It is the third straight week Maryland has been ranked among the Top 25.
