Maryland Men Head To ACC Men's Lacrosse Tournament As No. 1 Seed

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Pairings for the 2004 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's and Women's Lacrosse Championships have been determined after ACC regular-season play concluded this past weekend. The Championships will be hosted by the University of North Carolina at Fetzer Field for the men and Henry Stadium for the women in Chapel Hill, N.C. on April 23 and 25, 2004. Advance tickets are now on sale at the UNC Ticket Office in Koury Natatorium.

GAME TIMES are as follows:

Friday, April 23

WOMEN'S (Henry Stadium)
Game 1: No. 1 seed Duke vs. No. 4 seed North Carolina, 1 p.m.
Game 2: No. 2 seed Virginia vs. No. 2 seed Maryland, 3:30 p.m.

MEN'S (Fetzer Field)
Game 1: No. 1 seed Maryland vs. No. 4 seed Duke, 6 p.m.
Game 2: No. 2 seed North Carolna vs. No. 3 seed Virginia, 8:30 p.m.

Sunday, April 25

WOMEN'S (Henry Stadium)
Championship Game, 1 p.m.
* The championship game will be televised by Comcast, Fox Sports South and Sunshine.

MEN'S (Fetzer Field)
Championship Game, 3:30 p.m. *
* The championship game will be televised by Comcast, Fox Sports South and Sunshine.

TICKETS for the ACC Men's and Women's Lacrosse Championships are on sale now at the UNC Athletic Ticket Office and will be on sale at Henry Stadium and at Fetzer Field 90 minutes prior to competition on Friday and Sunday. Prices are as follows:

Adults $8.00
ACC Students with ID $5.00
Anyone 18 and under $5.00
Senior Citizens over 60 $5.00
Groups (10 or more) $4.00

Friday's ticket is good for both women's games at Henry Stadium and both men's games at Fetzer Field. Sunday's ticket is good for both championships.
