COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Fresh off a convincing win over Florida State, the sixth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team travels to Virginia on Friday, Jan. 20 for the first of a two-game road trip. The game, which tips off at 7 p.m., will be televised on the ACC's Regional Sports Network and airs live on CN8 (Maryland and Delaware), Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Florida, and on tape-delay at 11:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet in the Baltimore/Washington area. The game can also be heard on the Terrapin Radio Network and XM Radio Channel 191.

The Terps (15-2, 2-1 ACC) got back on track with a 75-57 win over the Seminoles on Martin Luther King Day. Led by freshman Kristi Toliver's (Harrisonburg, Va./Harrisonburg) 16 points, Maryland had five players score in double figures. Sophomore Crystal Langhorne (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro) nearly outrebounded FSU on her own, hauling down a season-high 19 rebounds, tying the Comcast Center record and also tied for the highest of any ACC player this season.

The Maryland-Virginia rivalry has been historic, including a number of big games throughout the series. The Terps set a then-ACC attendance record, drawing 14,500 fans on Feb. 12, 1992 when No. 1 Maryland hosted No. 2 Virginia. That record stood until last season, when 17,243 Terp fans crammed Comcast for Maryland's game vs. Duke on Feb. 13, 2005.

UVA's University Hall has not been kind to the Terps, who have won just four times on the Cavaliers' home court since the series began in 1977. The last Maryland victory in Charlottesville, Va., was on Jan. 15, 1992. The No. 3 Terps upset No. 1 Virginia, 67-65.

Two of the conference's top point guards will be squaring off on Friday night. Maryland's Toliver played the most significant minutes against FSU, since being hampered by a leg injury on Dec. 4. Recording 27 minutes, she was 4-for-4 from three-point range and also hauled down a career-high six rebounds. UVA's Sharnee Zoll leads the league with 6.3 assists per game and is also averaging 9.2 points per game.

After their game at Virginia, the Terps travel to another Commonwealth school, as No. 18/23 Virginia Tech hosts Maryland on Monday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m.
