Resnick Named To All-ACC First Team For Second Straight Season

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Senior goalkeeper Nikki Resnick of the Maryland women's soccer team was named to the All-ACC first team that was released by the conference office on Tuesday, October 31.

Resnick, a native of Boca Raton, Fla., led the conference in total saves (123), overall saves per game (6.83), saves in ACC games (74) and saves per ACC game (7.4). Earlier this season she tied her own the Ludwig Field record for saves in a game with 14 stops vs. Duke on Oct. 14.

Resnick's selection marks the second consecutive season she has been named to the All-ACC first team. The only other Maryland player to be named to two All-ACC first teams was Erin Taylor in 1996 and 1997.

For her career, Resnick finished near the top of every goalkeeping category. She is second all-time as a Terp in saves (353), goals against average (1.16) and shutouts (19).
