CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. -
The University of Maryland shot a team score of 300 Monday to turn a one-stroke deficit into a 10-shot lead in the team standings at the Lady Herd / El Diablo Intercollegiate women's golf tournament.
Maryland's 300 was the best team round posted by any team and gave Maryland a 606 total after 36 holes. Florida Atlantic, which led Maryland by one after the opening 18 holes, was in second at 616 with Missouri State in third at 629.
Kelly Calkin was tied for second with a two-round total of 151, three shots behind June Bolme of Florida Atlantic.
Katie Trotter (73-79) and Katie Stepanek (78-74) were tied for fourth at 152, with Kelly MacWhinnie tied for eighth at 155.
Jessica Reno was tied for 30th at 163, with Madeleine Lovette tied for 65th while playing as an individual.
The tournament, which is hosted by Marshall University, finishes on Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
