LEXINGTON, Ky. - A week after being named an All-Atlantic Coast Conference Second-Team selection, Jade Brown (Atlanta, Ga.) was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association All-East Region performer on Wednesday afternoon.

Brown is the 14th Terrapin to be named an AVCA All-Region player and the first since Stephanie Smith in 2005.

Brown, who recently finished her senior season in College Park, Md., recorded 358 kills and 127 blocks this season and finished in the school's all-time top 10 in several categories, finishing third all-time in kills with 1,388 and seventh in total blocks with 342.

Brown made an All-ACC team all four years in a Terps uniform, making the All-Freshman Team in 2004 and second team the next three years.
