COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland women's lacrosse fans can get their first glimpse of the upcoming 2007 season when WMUC Sports debuts the Cathy Reese Show on February 5 at 5:00 p.m. The first-year head coach will join host Ben Langelo to preview the upcoming season. The show can be heard online at wmucsports.com or on the radio by tuning into 88.1 FM.
Fans can submit questions to be answered live on the show by Reese by emailing AskCathy@wmucradio.com.
The Cathy Reese Show is preceded by the Laura Watten Show at 4:00 p.m. and the Terry Rupp Show at 4:30 p.m.
Prior to being appointed the head coach at Maryland on August 22, 2006, Reese served as the head coach at Denver for three seasons. Jen Adams, the Terps' associate head coach, has worked as the top assistant coach under Reese for two years. Denver had its best season ever last year, posting a 15-5 record and advancing to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) finals.
Reese was tabbed the MPSF Coach of the Year and guided a pair of her student-athletes to conference accolades last season. She mentored the MPSF Player of the Year and also coached the first Pioneer to earn regional first team All-America honors.
The Terps will get their first action in an exhibition game against the English national team on February 13 at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
