FORT PIERCE, Fla. -
The Maryland Terrapins completed their week of training at Indian River Community College yesterday. The Terps spent most of the trip focusing on team building and cohesion to begin the second half of their season.
"The trip overall was pretty good," said Interim Head Coach Jarod Schroeder. "One of the biggest benefits to doing a training trip is the team building aspect."
During their time in Florida, the Terps split into six different groups where they competed in various events throughout the trip. "Some were fun," said Schroeder, "while others were more serious and swimming oriented."
Schroeder commented that the team's training trip also serve to build unity between the team. "This closeness, coupled with the challenging training we accomplished, will definitely have an impact on how we swim at the end of the year."
The Terps will open their season on Thursday, January 10 at UMBC.
