AKRON, Ohio - Sophomore Sean Brannan and junior Andrew Kay each shot 2 over par through two rounds Monday on the first day of the Firestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

Brannan and Kay each shot 146 through 36 holes, as two of Maryland's three competitors on the day. Brannan and Kay matched each other round for round, as both shot 4 over par in the first round and 1 under in the second.

Tom Hanna III finished 10 over par on the day, shooting 79 and 75, respectively.

Maryland has only three players competing as individuals and is not competing as a team. Junior Donnie Shin played one round, carding a 6-over-par 78, but withdrew in the second round.

Play resumes Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., with 18 more holes on the schedule.
