Maryland Women's Basketball 2009 Summer Camps & Clinics

Learn from the best at Maryland Women's Basketball Camps. Receive instruction and coaching from 2009 ACC Champion coaches and players, including head coach Brenda Frese.

In her seventh season as head coach of the Maryland Terrapins, Frese has made amazing turnarounds her calling card. She was named Associated Press National Coach of the Year in 2002 at Minnesota, led the Terps to their first-ever national championship title in 2006 and to their first ACC Championship in 20 years with the 2009 regular-season and tournament titles.

CAMP DATES
Parent/Child Clinic
June 13, 2009
Ages 7-18
Clinic fee: $90, add $15 for each additional child Clinic hours: 2:00pm - 6:00pm Mother or fathers get the chance to team up with their daughter(s) for a fun afternoon of basketball skills and drills! Each child will receive a Maryland T-Shirt.

Position Camp
June 24-26, 2009
Ages 10-18
Camp fee: overnight - $260; commuter - $210 Enhance your game with position based instruction. Offense and defense skill workouts specifically geared for the guard or post position, plus the opportunity to put your improved skills to the test during team games and skill competitions. Each camper will receive a Maryland reversible jersey.

Elite Player Camp
June 26-28, 2009
Ages: 12 - 18
Camp fee: overnight - $260; commuter - $210 Designed especially for the experienced and competitive ball player, our elite camp features intense workouts aimed at improving individual skills, competitive team play, guest speakers, and skill competitions. Basketball experience and the desire to push your game to the next level required for participation. Each camper will receive a Maryland reversible jersey and a Camp T-Shirt.

Individual Day Camp
July 27-30, 2009
Ages 8-18
Camp fee: $215.00 Develop and improve your overall game with station work focusing on skill and skill improvement. Team games, guest speakers and skill competition will also be featured. Camp staff will be available 1 hour before and after camp to accommodate parents' work schedules. Each camper will receive a Maryland reversible jersey.

Shooting Clinic
July 27-28, 2009 (Evenings)
Ages 10-18
Camp fee: $80 Focus on your shooting form and technique to help develop or refine a great outside shot. Drills and shooting contests highlight these two evening sessions. Each camper will receive a basketball.

Ball Handling Clinic
July 29, 2009 (Evening)
Ages 8-18
Camp fee: $40
Dedicate an evening to improving your ball handling so you feel comfortable with the basketball in your hand. Each camper will receive a basketball.

Individual Player Overnight Camp
August 2-5, 2009
Ages 10-18
Camp fee: overnight - $395; commuter - $310 Come ready to focus on your overall game with station work aimed at developing and improving all around basketball skills. You'll also have the opportunity to practice skills in competitive games. This camp also features guest speakers and individual skill competitions. Each camper will receive a Maryland reversible jersey.

Insurance & Medical Information
Maryland Women's Basketball Camps & Clinics, LLC. DOES NOT provide medical insurance. Each camper must complete the Health Information Form and will be required to present the signed form, by the parent or legal guardian, prior to check-in.

Comcast Center
The scene for the new era in Maryland Women's Basketball is the $125 million state-of-the-art Comcast Center, which opened its doors in October 2002. Equipped with 17,950 seats, luxury boxes, an eight sided scoreboard, team lockerrooms and lounge areas, five 94' air conditioned courts the 420,000 square-foot building is the central hub of Maryland athletics. This is also the site for the Maryland Women's Basketball Camps.

Housing/Meals
Overnight campers will be housed in one of our on-campus residence halls. Three meals a day will be served in the residence hall cafeteria. Commuter campers will receive lunch and dinner only. **Note: Linens and blankets are not provided.

Sibling Discount
Siblings attending the camps will each receive a 40% discount to the camp store to be used on any one product.
