June 25, 2009

BALTIMORE, Md. - Five incoming freshmen will compete at the 2009 Under Armour All-American North/South game on Saturday, June 27 in Baltimore on the campus of Towson University.

Alex Aust (Sterling, Va./Bullis), Danielle Kirk (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding), Sarah Matz (Reistertown, Md./Bryn Mawr), Iliana Sanza (Cockeysville, Md./St. Paul's), and Katie Schwarzmann (Sykesville, Md./Century) will all play for the North squad.

The Top 44 senior boys and girls are selected by a committee made up of the nation's most knowledgeable figures in high school lacrosse. Only true seniors in good academic standing are considered for participation. The players will compete in separate boys' and girls' North vs. South All-Star Games during the event.

The 2009 Under Armour All-America rosters have been selected by INSIDE LACROSSE and the selection committee.

In 2008, the North narrowly edged the South, 13-12. Current Terps Kristy Black, Karri Ellen Johnson, Grace Gaeng, and Elizabeth Hamilton competed for the South team with Johnson adding 2 goals and an assist and Hamilton one score.
