COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's swimming and diving team looks to make waves this week at the 2010 ACC Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Championship action can be seen live on theACC.com from 7-9 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 18-20. Maryland will begin its championship journey on Wednesday, Feb. 17, where it will race in both the 200 medley and 800 free relay at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.

The Terps had a phenomenal dual meet season, finishing with a stellar 11-2 record while once again capturing the Terrapin Cup Invitational. Maryland rolls onto the campus of UNC after finishing third in the ACC standings, behind Virginia and North Carolina.

Last season, Maryland, which played host to the championships, finished fifth overall and had a flurry of high-caliber individual performances, led by a 200 fly championship from Jen Vogel. Maryland also shattered a total of ten school records, led by five by Vogel. Other Terps to land on the podium included Annie Fittin in the 100 back and Alisa Kurbatova in the 1-meter dive. Vogel also took second in the 100 fly.

Maryland has several swimmers boasting top-ten times in ACC action this season. Led by three appearances by Fittin and two from both Vogel and sophomore Ginny Glover, the Terps look to make an impact at the 2010 championships. Below is a rundown of Maryland's top performances in the ACC.
