ACC Tournament Release
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Atlantic Coast Conference office announced the All-ACC team selections this afternoon. Sophomore center Lynetta Kizer was named to the All-ACC Third team and senior guard Lori Bjork was given Honorable Mention.
Kizer leads Maryland in scoring with 12.6 points per game and rebounding with 7.6 per contest. The Woodbridge, Va., native is one of only five ACC players in the top-12 of both scoring and rebounding. Kizer has had 17 double-figure scoring games and nine double-digit rebounding games. The Terrapins are 14-2 when she records double-figure points. Kizer was last year's Rookie of the Year.
Bjork leads the team in three-pointers made with 71 and is top-two in the conference. She is also fourth in the conference in three-point percentage. The Johnston, Iowa, native has scored double-figure points 18 times, including a string of 13 straight. She is third in Maryland's all-time senior records for three's made and attempted. Bjork leads the conference in three-pointers made in ACC play with 38. All Honorable Mention selections received at least 15 votes.

Next up for Maryland is the 2010 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament. The defending ACC Champions will face North Carolina in the first round of the 2010 ACC Tournament which starts Thursday, March 4. The two long-time foes are set to tip-off at 3 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on RSN (RSN - Fox Sports Net South (FSNS), Comcast Sports Net (CSN), Fox Sports Net Florida (FSNFL), New England Sports Network (NESN)) and Fox HD.
UNC leads in the all-time series, 36-31. However, Maryland leads in neutral site games, 7-4. The Terps defeated North Carolina in the 2009 ACC tournament on their way to becoming the tournament champions. The Terrapins won, 95-84 in the third round.
The winner of the game between Maryland and North Carolina plays No. 1 seed Duke on Friday, March 5 at 3 p.m. ET.
