COLLEGE PARK, Md. - After a successful training trip in Del Ray Beach, Fla., the Maryland swimming and diving team kicks off the second half of its competitive schedule with a dual meet against Navy and Rutgers on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Both squads will look to improve on its championship performances at the 2010 Terp Cup in College Park November 18. With nearly a month and half separating the Terps from the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships in Atlanta in mid-February, Maryland has five competitive matches remaining, including Saturday's against Navy on the men's side and Rutgers for the women.

The women continue to perform well as a team, racking up a 4-1 record heading into the back portion of the schedule. The Terps are paced by senior Annie Fittin, who boasts top times in the 50 and 100 free and 50 and 100 back. Ginny Glover has also been solid, earning top marks in the 200 free and 200 back.

On the men's side, the Terps are led by Mitch Challacombe, who owns top times in the 50 and 100 free and 50 and 100 back. Andrew Relihan is also having a great season with Maryland-best times in the 200 free, 200 back and 200 IM.

Following Saturday's action, which will be clocked in meters, the Terps play host to Villanova, Pittsburgh and Penn State for a two-day event beginning Jan. 14 at Eppley Recreation Natatorium.
