HANOVER, N.H. - Katie Schwarzmann tallied three goals but a late-game surge fell short as No. 1 Maryland dropped its first match of the season at No. 14 Dartmouth, 9-8, in double overtime Sunday.

Maryland (18-1) dropped its first game since losing to North Carolina April 14, 2010. Dartmouth is the first team other than UNC to defeat the Terps since 2008.

Schwarzmann was joined by Sarah Mollison (2g) as multi-goal scorers for the Terps and extended her streak to 64 straight games with a goal and/or an assist.

Facing a three-goal deficit for only the second time this season, Maryland rallied for six scores, led by two each from Schwarzmann and Mollison, to push the game into overtime.

Sarah Parks netted the game-winner for Dartmouth with eight seconds left in the second overtime period to lift the Big Green to 11-3 overall.

Maryland, which played without the services of three-year starters Karri Ellen Johnson and Brandi Jones again on Sunday, will look to rebound as it enters the NCAA Tournament, beginning May 14.
