Three Terps Named Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-Americans

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Kori Edmondson, JJ Suriano, and Lauren LaPointe were named Midseason All-Americans by Inside Lacrosse, as announced Wednesday.

Edmondson has made an impact across the field throughout her senior season, ranking third on the team with 42 points on 32 goals and 10 assists. She also ranks second on the team with 46 draw controls. Edmondson recently earned Big Ten Midfielder of the Week honors for the second time this season.

LaPointe has enjoyed a standout start to her junior campaign. Through 12 games, she leads the team with 63 points, 43 goals, and 20 assists. She was recently named IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career following a record-breaking performance. LaPointe totaled 11 goals across two games to help Maryland remain unbeaten, including a career-high 10-point outing (seven goals, three assists) against No. 7 Johns Hopkins. She followed that with four goals in a win over No. 21 Penn State.

Suriano has also turned in an impressive junior season. She leads the conference in saves per game (10.25), total saves (123), and save percentage (.530), while ranking third nationally in save percentage.

All three players have also been named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.

Maryland returns to action on April 4, hosting Rutgers at 12 p.m. for Senior Day.
