  • No. 7 Maryland will play its second straight home game Thursday when Wake Forest comes to town. The Terps (17-1, 4-1 ACC) and the Demon Deacons (11-6, 1-3) will play at 7 p.m. in Comcast Center.

  • As part of the new Get to Know Your Terps series, fans will get a closer look at two Terrapin players each game. At Thursday's game, junior Essence Townsend and redshirt sophomore Katie Rutan will be featured.

  • This will mark the 64th meeting between the Terrapins and the Demon Deacons. The Terps own the series, 51-12, and have won the last 10 straight matchups. Last season, Maryland beat Wake Forest, 75-44, on Jan. 28 in College Park.

  • The Terrapins are coming off of a 68-61 win over the ACC's best defensive team, Virginia, Monday night at Comcast Center. Laurin Mincy led the Terrapins with 20 points and Lynetta Kizer added her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

  • Maryland is ranked No. 8 in the latest Associated Press rankings and No. 7 in the ESPN/USA Today Division I Top 25 Coaches' poll.
