  • The seventh-ranked Maryland women's basketball team will head south to take on No. 5 Duke Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

  • This will mark the 76th meeting between the Terrapins and the Blue Devils, with Maryland narrowly owning the series 38-37. Maryland was the last ACC team to beat Duke in Cameron. The Terps won 76-69 on Feb. 17, 2008 - the day Brenda Frese gave birth to her twin boys. Duke has won 25 straight ACC games in Cameron since that game.

  • The Terrapins and the Blue Devils split their two meetings last season. Duke edged Maryland, 71-64, on Jan. 6 in Durham, while the Terrapins beat the Blue Devils, 69-47, on Feb. 17 in College Park. Alyssa Thomas notched her first career double-double in the game at Duke with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

  • Most recently, the Terps used a second half surge to beat Wake Forest 86-58, Thursday night in College Park. After they were tied at 37 at halftime, the Terps opened the second stanza with a 7-0 run and rolled from there. Tianna Hawkins led the Terrapins with 18 points and a school-record 24 rebounds. The record was first set by Angie Scott with 23 boards vs. Towson State on Feb. 22, 1977. Debbie Jones tied that vs. Howard on Dec. 11, 1977.

  • Alyssa Thomas added 16 points and 11 boards for her 13th career double-double. Laurin Mincy, Lynetta Kizer and Brene Moseley each added 11 points.
