Maryland will send four student-athletes to the NCAA Division I Women's Swimming Championships March 15-17 in Auburn, Ala.
Megan Lafferty, who broke an ACC record at the championships last season, will compete in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly. Senior Ginny Glover will wrap up her illustrious collegiate career by competing in the 200 free, 100 back and 200 back.
Freshman Carolyn Fittin has qualified with B-cut marks in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly and sophomore Jennifer Roberts will compete for the Terps in the 200 IM, 100 fly and 200 fly.
All four will also compete in relays to be determined at a later date.
In 2011, The Terps finished with 42 points, nearly doubling its total from the 2010 season (24). Glover, Annie Fittin, Lafferty and Blair Cross all garnered Honorable Mention All-America honors. Glover and Lafferty are seeking the prestigious nod for a third consecutive year.
