PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Maryland gymnastics team scored a 195.950, tied for the 10th-best score in program history, and totaled a program-best on vault for the second straight meet to propel the Terps to a third-place finish Saturday afternoon at the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Championships at Fitzgerald Field House on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh.

Three Terps took the medal stand at Fitzgerald Field House. Junior Ally Krikorian won the gold medal on floor with a 9.925, while senior Kyra Phillips and sophomore Katy Dodds finished in an eight-way tie for the silver with a 9.900. On vault, Dodds, Krikorian and Phillips finished in a five-way tie for the title with a 9.900.

"We had a great night," said head coach Brett Nelligan. "I'm so proud of this team and the way they have competed these last three weeks of the season."

Maryland's best overall performance of the meet came on floor. The Terrapins totaled a 49.450 which is the third-highest score all-time as every performer tied or set a career high. Krikorian's career-high 9.925 was a meet high and is tied for the fourth-best floor performance in school history.

"Our vault and floor lineups we on another level today," said Nelligan. "It was incredible to see. Katy [Dodds], Ally [Krikorian] and Kyra [Phillips] were just on fire, there was no stopping them."

Phillips registered a personal best and Dodds tied a career high with their floor performances to place second. Freshmen Ebony Walters and Stephanie Giameo tallied a career-best 9.875 and 9.825, respectively, while junior Kesley Cofsky tied her career high (9.850).

On vault, Phillips tied her career high (9.900) and Dodds tied her season high (9.900) en route to second on the apparatus. Krikorian joined them on the medal stand as the squad posted a program-high 49.225 on vault.

Dodds and Cofsky led the way for the Terps on bars. Each gymnast scored a 9.775 to finish in a tie for 22nd place. Maryland completed the event with 48.700.

Giameo was the top Terp on beam. The Roselle Park, N.J., native posted a 9.775 to finish in a tie for 10th.

The Terps will find out their NCAA fate on Monday when the regional field is announced at 4 p.m.

"Today was great and now we're looking forward to finding out our destination for the first round of NCAA Championships on Monday," said Nelligan. "We plan to bring the same intensity going forward."
