COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The 10th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team will travel south this weekend to take on Clemson Sunday at 5 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum. The Terps-Tigers game will be shown live online for free at http://www.youtube.com/accdn.

The game will also be broadcast on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network and can be heard on 1300 AM and UMTerps.com for a fee.

The Terrapins (16-3, 7-1 ACC) have won 12 of their last 13 games and six straight. They romped No. 11 North Carolina, 85-59, Thursday in College Park. Tianna Hawkins scored 25 and Alyssa Thomas had 17 points and 10 rebounds to end the Tar Heels' 11-game winning streak.

Freshman Chloe Pavlech scored 18 for the Terrapins and junior Katie Rutan added 10 points, six assists and six boards. The Terrapins shot 58.2 percent for the game, their highest percentage in an ACC matchup since 2008.

Clemson (5-13, 1-6) fell to No. 4 Duke, 60-46, Thursday in Littlejohn Coliseum. The Tigers and the Blue Devils were tied at halftime at 22, before Duke nabbed the win.

Thomas was named ACC Player of the Week Monday for the second straight week, third this year and seventh of her career. This is her 14th weekly honor, after being named ACC Rookie of the Week seven times.

Head coach Brenda Frese currently has a career record of 99-55 (.643) in ACC games. With her five rebounds Thursday, junior Alicia DeVaughn reached 500-rebound milestone. Hawkins has 950 boards and only Crystal Langhorne and Marissa Coleman have broken the 1,000 mark. Hawkins is third in the country with 121 consecutive games played. UConn's Kelly Farris leads with 133 and Notre Dame's Skylar Diggins has played in 131. Thomas has 11 double-doubles this year and Hawkins has 10. Both had 10 in all of last season.

The Terps are No. 2 in the nation with their rebounding margin of +16.9, only to Liberty's +17.1. Hawkins and Thomas are Nos. 1 and 2 in the ACC in scoring and rebounding. Hawkins leads in scoring with 19.2 per game and is No. 2 in rebounding with 10.3 per game. Thomas is second in scoring with 16.8 per game, leads rebounding with 10.3 per game, and is No. 2 in assists with 5.6 per game. According to STATS, Inc., no player in the NCAA or WNBA has averaged 15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds or 5.0 assists since 1999-00, which was the farthest that could be searched.
