The 10th-ranked Maryland women's basketball is set to battle No. 24 Miami Thursday at 7 p.m. at Comcast Center in the Terps' Fan Appreciation game. To thank fans for their support, the Terrapins will be selling tickets for $1 in advance and will be offering $1 concessions specials.

Thursday's top-25 showdown will be shown live online for fee on TerpsTV Premium. It will also be broadcast on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network and can be heard on AM 1300 and AM 570.
The Terrapins (11-3, 2-1 ACC) will look to win their second consecutive game over a ranked team, after clamping down on No. 19 Florida State (12-2, 2-1), 71-64, Sunday afternoon in College Park. The ACC's leading rebounder, Alyssa Thomas, led the way with 20 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and three steals and notched her seventh double-double in eight games. Tianna Hawkins, the ACC's leading scorer, added 17 points and nine boards, while freshman Tierney Pfirman scored 12.
Maryland dominated the glass, 48-30, and held the Seminoles to just eight offensive rebounds total. Florida State's 64 points was its lowest points total this year.
The Hurricanes (12-2, 3-0) have won five straight games and most recently, beat Virginia, 58-52 Sunday.
With a start on Thursday vs. the Hurricanes, Alicia DeVaughn will have her 50th career start. Hawkins is nine rebounds from 900 and would be the sixth Terrapin to break that mark. Katie Rutan is six points from 600 in her career.
The Terps lead the nation in rebounding with their margin of +18.1. They are in the top 10 of the country in scoring margin, field goal percentage and assists per game. Hawkins is the ACC's leading scorer and offensive rebounder with 19.0 points per game and is second in rebounding with 10.0 per contest. She is second in rebounding only to Thomas, who is averaging 10.2 boards per game and leads the league in defensive rebounds. Thomas is No. 4 in scoring with 15.2 points per game. Hawkins is third in the country in field goal percentage (.611).
After Thursday's matchup, the Terrapins will travel to Virginia Tech (7-7, 1-2) Sunday for a 2 p.m. game in Blacksburg. The Terps-Hokies game will also be broadcast on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network and can be heard on AM 1300 or UMTerps.com.
