Coaching Excellence
Tim Horsmon, the 2007 AVCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year, has led his teams to eight NCAA Tournaments and eight conference championships as a head coach. He has also guided his teams to multiple top-25 rankings, being as high as No. 12 in the nation.

Athletic and Academic Excellence
Maryland volleyball players are true student-athletes. Seven different Terps have been honored on the ACC All-Academic Team a total of 11 times since 2008.

In addition, this past spring, Maryland volleyball won the President's Cup Team GPA award at the Terp Awards, which is given to one men's and one women's team with the highest cumulative team GPA.

A Championship Program
The Terps have won five ACC titles (1990, 1996, 2003, 2004 & 2005) and have made seven trips to the NCAA tournament. The ACC Tournament was discontinued in 2004.

Media Exposure
Combining the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. areas, Maryland plays in the nation's fourth-largest media market. In addition to national newspapers like the Washington Post and Baltimore Sun, the Terps are also covered regularly by one of the country's top student newspapers, The Diamondback. Maryland volleyball has also been featured in several national publications, including USA Today and on ESPN.com.

Among The Elite
The 1997 Terps became the 10th team in NCAA Division I history to go undefeated in the regular season, posting a 25-0 record.
