The Maryland wrestling team dropped a road dual to future Big Ten rival No. 19 Michigan, 28-10, at Cliff Kean Arena in Ann Arbor Sunday.

No. 2 Jimmy Sheptock, No. 10 Christian Boley and Shyheim Brown picked up the Terps' (4-5, 0-1 ACC) only wins against the Wolverines (4-2, 0-0 Big Ten), who built up a large lead over the course of the match

No. 7 Spencer Myers and No. 3 Adam Coon kicked off the match at heavyweight, with Coon using a takedown in the third period to secure a 4-1 victory and put the Wolverines up 3-0.

Conor Youtsey followed up Coon's win with a 6-2 decision over Billy Rappo. Rossi Bruno then piled up the points on Maryland's Paul O'Neill, notching a 22-7 technical fall.

Shyheim Brown put the Terps on the board at 141 pounds, outlasting Angelo Latora, 7-6, to make the overall team score 11-3.

From there, the home team reeled off four straight wins to put the match out of reach. At 149 pounds, No. 12 Eric Grajales knocked off Frank Goodwin, 13-2. No. 16 Brian Murphy then grinded out a 3-1 win over Ben Dorsay at 157 pounds before No. 8 Daniel Yates pinned Josh Snook at 165.

At 174 pounds, Collin Zeerip notched a 17-3 major decision over Tony Gardner.

Sheptock moved his season record to 18-0 at 184 pounds, beating Domenic Abounader by major decision. Boley finished off the match with a win of his own, finding a takedown in the sudden death period to defeat Chris Heald, 3-1.

Maryland returns to action on against Navy. Wrestling is scheduled to begin in Annapolis at 7 p.m.
