Terps Open Home Slate Against Indiana, Purdue

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland volleyball team (7-6, 0-2 Big Ten) plays its first home matches of the season this Friday against Indiana (10-4, 1-1) at 7 p.m. and Sunday against No. 15 Purdue (12-2, 2-0) at 1 p.m. in the XFINITY Center Pavilion.

• This weekend is the Terps' inaugural home weekend in Big Ten play. Maryland opened conference play in the Big Ten for the first time last weekend.

• The match against Indiana will be broadcast on BTN Plus.

• Maryland lost to the Illini in straight sets (13-25, 21-25, 17-25) last Friday. The Terps caused trouble in the second set when they took a 10-point Illini lead and cut it to just three, but were unable to take the set.

SCOUTING THE BOILERMAKERS

• Purdue swept both its matches last weekend, taking down Michigan, 3-2, and Michigan State, 3-1, to start Big Ten play 2-0. The team's win over Michigan was the program's 800th.
