COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's lacrosse team will participate in seven fall ball dates, including four at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex, head coach Cathy Reese announced Monday.
The Terps, who earned their 12th national title and sixth consecutive ACC championship last season, begin the fall late against Notre Dame and UMBC Sept. 28 in College Park. Maryland travels to Episcopal High School for the annual Play for Parkinson's Tournament, where the Terps will take on Penn State, Duke and Georgetown Oct. 5.
Maryland will compete against the U.S. Women's National Team, Princeton and Navy at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md., Oct. 12. Seven current or former Terps were named to the national team in June.
The team returns to campus to play the Japanese National Team on Oct. 14 before playing Penn, Loyola and Stanford at Loyola University Oct. 19.
The Terps compete at home for the rest of fall, taking on Johns Hopkins and Virginia Oct. 25 before closing out 2014 with the annual alumni game.
Maryland compiled a 23-1 record in the spring. The Terps will compete in the Big Ten this season and return 11 of 12 starters.
