CHICAGO – Sophomore George Campbell was named Big Ten Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday after his outstanding performance in a Maryland win at Penn State on Friday night.
Campbell netted a hat trick as a reserve for the Terrapins – which moved into a tie for first place in the Big Ten standings with a come-from-behind 4-3 victory.
The Baltimore, Md., native's first goal with only two seconds remaining in the first half tied the match for the Terps and kicked off a 3-0 run for Maryland as it took a 4-2 lead before giving up one final goal late in the match.
Maryland welcomes Indiana Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Ludwig Field.
