Kocher Pushes Terps into Lead After Round 2

Terps Start Strong at Big Ten Championships

NEWBURGH, Ind. - The Maryland men's golf team is to a strong start through the first two rounds of the Big Ten Championships at the Victoria National Golf Course in Newburgh, Ind.

The Terrapins are +8 overall through the first two rounds to sit tied for third. The third round will be played this afternoon.

Freshman David Kocher is six-under par through the two opening rounds with scores of 70 and 68, respectively. He is currently in second in the standings.

Senior Connor Tendall is even so far and is tied for ninth. He went two-under with a 70 in the first round and two-over with a score of 74 in the second.

Freshman Joe Brooks is tied for 25th and is five-over through the first 36 holes. He shot a 73 in the first round and a 76 in the second.

Junior Tom Harris is +9 with a 153 (78-75) and sophomore Victor Fox is +14 (78-80).

The Victoria National Golf Course is a par 72, 7,124-yard layout and will host all 14 conference schools in the four-round tournament. The course is consistently ranked among the top golf courses in America and is home to the PGA Tour Web.com United Leasing Championship.
