TAMPA, Fla. - The Maryland women's basketball team arrived in Tampa Thursday night, after their last practice in XFINITY Center and a send-off by the Terrapin faithful in College Park.
The Terps practiced in XFINITY Center this afternoon, then met with members of the local and national media after practice.
Fans, students and staff joined the band and cheer team to send the Terrapins off to Tampa with lots of support.
After a quick flight to Tampa, Maryland was greeted by pirates, local youth and a steel drum band on the tarmac at Tampa International Airport.
A police escort took the Terrapins to their waterfront hotel in Tampa, where the welcome party continued. The Terps were greeted by members of the Tampa community, a band, and the entire Westin staff. Head coach

The Terrapins will practice off-site Friday, before enjoying a private evening event for team members and their families.
