DURHAM, N.C. - The Maryland men's golf team finished its first weekend of competition at the Rod Myers Invitational at the Duke University Golf Course Sunday in Durham, N.C. Sophomore David Kocher finished seventh in the tournament to lead the Terrapins.
Kocher earned a combined score of 215 (71-72-72) over the three-round tournament to finish his strong opening weekend.
Senior Tom Harris finished 30th on the leaderboard with his score of 223 (74-71-78) and sophomore Joe Brooks ended up tied for 36th with a 226 (73-76-77).
Freshman Reilly Erhardt earned a combined score of 230 (77-73-80) and freshman Justin Feldman finished with a 234 (76-76-82). Both made their collegiate debuts this weekend.
"We had some young guys in the lineup this weekend, which will bode well for us down the line from an experience standpoint," head coach Jason Rodenhaver said. "David had a great tournament in a really strong field. We're heading to VCU this weekend and I expect us to bounce back with a good finish."
