COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's basketball team released game times and television information for the 2015-16 season Tuesday. Thirteen of the Terrapins' 18 league games, and 15 total games, will be televised nationally on the Big Ten Network, ESPN2 and CBS.
Coming off of their 2014 and 2015 NCAA Final Four appearances, as well as the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles, six of the Terps' games will be on ESPN2. These six games include Dec. 28 vs. Connecticut in the Maggie Dixon Classic, at Iowa on Jan. 10, at Ohio State on Feb. 8, at Northwestern on Feb. 14 and at Rutgers on Feb. 21. The Terps-Buckeyes matchup will be part of ESPN2's Big Monday series.
Maryland's Jan. 2 matchup at home vs. Ohio State will be televised nationally on CBS.
Eight of the Terrapins' games will be shown across the country on the Big Ten Network, which reaches more than 60 million homes across the United States and Canada. These seven matchups can also be seen on BTN2Go, as well as the Big Ten's mobile apps. Fans will need to enter their cable login information to watch online.
The Terps' non-televised games will be shown online through BTN Plus on BTN2Go.
Maryland went 18-0 in Big Ten play in its first year in the league last year. Head coach Brenda Frese was named Big Ten Coach of the Year for the second time in her career, while juniors Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough both earned All-Big Ten First Team honors. The Terrapins beat Ohio State, 77-74, in the Big Ten Championship game to sweep the regular season and tournament titles.
Top-seeded Maryland went on to knock off undefeated Princeton in the NCAA Second Round. The Terrapins advanced to the Spokane Regional, where they beat Duke in the Sweet Sixteen, then second-seeded Tennessee in the Elite Eight to head to the Final Four in Tampa, Fla.
