COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The fourth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team will welcome in-state opponent Towson (6-1) to the XFINITY Center Tuesday for a 7 p.m. matchup.

The Terps will also host a pregame Chalk Talk for season ticket holders in Heritage Hall. All University of Maryland faculty and staff can claim complementary tickets for themselves and up to four members of their immediate families.

The Terrapins used a balanced effort to top UMBC, 92-42, Sunday in College Park. Kristen Confroy went 5-7 from outside the arc to lead the way with 17 points. Brionna Jones added 11 points, Blair Watson scored 10 and Kiah Gillespie grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds. All 12 Terps scored in the win.
Maryland owns the series with Towson, 15-5 and the Terps are 3-0 vs. the Tigers in the XFINITY Center. Most recently, the Terrapins won 81-52 on Dec. 7, 2014 in College Park. Brionna Jones led the way with 17 points, Shatori Walker-Kimbrough scored 15 and Confroy added 10.
The Terps are currently leading the country in scoring margin (+38.0). They are second in the nation in socring (92.5), field goal percentage (51.4%), rebounding margin (+19.6) and assists (21.4).
Walker-Kimbrough is at 1,628 career points, recently passing Lynetta Kizer with 1,621 career points to move to No. 9 on the Terps' all-time list. She needs three points to pass Marcia Richardson at No. 8 (1,630 career points). Brionna Jones is No. 8 on Maryland's rebounding list with 907 career boards. Only seven previous Terps have reached the 900 career rebound mark.
The Terrapins are ranked No. 4 in the Associated Press poll and in the USA Today Division I Coaches poll.
After Tuesday's contest, the Terps will host Saint Peter's (1-6) to the XFINITY Center for a 6:30 p.m. matchup Thursday night. Fans can take photos with Santa Testudo from 5:30-6:15 p.m.
Fans are also encouraged to donate women's professional attire to Dress for Success. The Terrapins will also be collecting Toys for Tots to support children in the community.
