COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The fourth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team will close a three-game homestand with a 6:30 p.m. matchup vs. Saint Peter's (1-6) Thursday night at the XFINITY Center.

The Terps cruised past Towson, 97-63, Tuesday night in College Park behind 19 points apiece from Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough. Kristen Confroy added 11 points, Blair Watson and Brianna Fraser each scored 10.
This is the second meeting between Maryland and Saint Peter's, with the Peacocks taking the first meeting, 66-61, on Dec. 30, 1997 in New Jersey.
Saint Peter's Director of Athletics Boe Pearman played at Maryland for former head coach Chris Weller from 1981-84. She averaged 10.0 points per game and helped the Terrapins to the 1982 Final Four and three ACC titles. A four-year starter, she earned Second Team All-ACC honors in 1984 and was named to the All-ACC Tournament Team in 1982. She was an assistant coach with the Terrapins from 1985-97, helping them to the 1989 Final Four and three more ACC titles.
The Terps are currently leading the country in field goal percentage (51.1%). They are second in the nation in scoring (93.0), scoring margin (+37.6), rebounding margin (+19.4) and assists (21.8).
Walker-Kimbrough is No. 8 on Maryland's all-time scoring list with 1,647 career points, recently passing Marcia Richardson (1,630 career points). She needs 33 points to passt Christy Winters Scott at No. 7 with 1,679 points. Walker-Kimbrough's career three-point percentage of 46.5% is currently the best in Maryland history ahead of Kristi Toliver's career percentage of 40.8%. Jones is No. 8 on Maryland's rebounding list with 915 career boards. Only seven previous Terps have reached the 900 career rebound mark.
The Terrapins are ranked No. 4 in the Associated Press poll and in the USA Today Division I Coaches poll.
