COLLEGE PARK, Md.  – Juniors Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough of the No. 5/7 Maryland women's basketball team (21-3, 10-2 B1G) are two of the top players in the country that were named to the Naismith Award Midseason List.

They are two of the 34 players to make the Midseason List. For the full list, please click here. The Big Ten had seven players on the list. Ameryst Alston (Ohio State), Rachel Banham (Minnesota), Kelsey Mitchell (Ohio State), Aerial Powers (Michigan State) and Jessica Shephard (Nebraska).

Jones and Walker-Kimbrough led the Terrapins in scoring and rebounding. Walker-Kimbrough is averaging 19.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game this year. Jones is averaging 15.2 points per game and 9.8 rebounds with 12 double-doubles this year.

Jones is second in the country in FG percentage (.669) and Walker-Kimbrough leads the country in three-point FG percentage (.557). The Terps are leading the country in rebounding margin (+16.5). They are second in the nation in scoring margin (+26.7), field goal percentage (.505) and three-point field goal percentage (.412) and third in scoring (85.9).

Maryland is ranked No. 5 in the latest Associated Press poll and No. 7 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll.
