COLLEGE PARK, Md. – After earning an 18-8 win over Georgetown last weekend, junior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg and senior midfielder Taylor Cummings earned weekly recognition from the Big Ten Tuesday.
Stukenberg was tabbed Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week while Cummings was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.
Against the Hoyas, Stukenberg scored three goals and added two assists. She also picked up three ground balls and caused one turnover.
Cummings earned six draw controls and caused two turnovers against Georgetown while adding one goal, three assists and one ground ball.
This is Stukenberg's second Offensive Player of the Week honors and Cummings' second Defensive Player of the Week nod.
The top-ranked Terps travel to No. 5 North Carolina this Saturday for the team's first road game of the year. Opening draw is scheduled for 1 p.m.
