COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Junior Shatori Walker-Kimbrough of the fifth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (27-3, 16-2 B1G) was named Big Ten Player of the Week Monday for the second time this season.
The 5-11 guard averaged 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists in the Terps' two wins on the week. She helped the Terrapins capture their second consecutive Big Ten regular season title Sunday in a 110-77 victory over Minnesota (19-10, 11-7).
Against Wisconsin Thursday, Walker-Kimbrough went 9-for-12 from the field, including 5-for-6 from three-point range for 27 points. In Sunday's game vs. the Gophers, she picked up her third career double-double with 19 points and a career-high 11 boards.
The All-Big Ten teams will be announced today at 5:30 p.m. ET live on the Big Ten Network.
Maryland will be the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
