COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland volleyball team welcomes back former players for the annual Alumni Weekend on April 16.

"Last year's alumni event was a huge success, and we're looking forward to this year's weekend," head coach Steve Aird said. "It's great for former players and the current roster to get together and celebrate the program and Maryland. There's a lot of excitement about the future of Maryland volleyball, and I believe it's crucial to involve the former classes in that success."

The Terps will being the day supporting head coach DJ Durkin and the new era of Maryland football at the annual Spring Game at 12:30 p.m. at Maryland Stadium.

For the first time in program history, Maryland will compete against the Chesapeake Rising Tide, a member of the USA Volleyball's Premier Volleyball League. The current roster will face the Rising Tide at 2:30 p.m. in the XFINITY Center Pavilion. Admissions will be free and all fans are invited to attend the match.

Following the match, the Terps will host their annual team and alumni banquet. Cocktail hour will begin at 6 p.m. at the College Park Marriott before the banquet begins at 7 p.m.
