KINGSMILL, Va - Sophomore David Kocher leads the Maryland men's golf team after two rounds at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort this week.
Kocher is in seventh on the leaderboard and the Terrapins are in eighth out of 24 teams competing.
Kocher went four-over in Sunday's first round for a score of 74, then went three-under with a 67 Monday. He is one-over total with a 141.
Senior Tom Harris is +5 with a 145, after shooting a 72 in the first round and a 73 in the second. He is tied for 23rd out of 126 participants.
Freshman Timothy Colanta owns a combined score of 151 (77-74) after the two rounds, as does sophomore Joe Brooks (72-79). Freshman Chris Navarro owns a score of 153 (74-79).
The third and final round will be played Tuesday. There will not be live scoring.
Maryland is one of 24 schools competing, including tournament-host William & Mary, Appalachian State, Binghamton, Dayton, Delaware, Drake, Eastern Kentucky, High Point, IPFW, Longwood, Loyola (Md.), Maryland, Ohio, Old Dominion, Penn State, Radford, St. Francis (Pa.), St. Joseph's, Seton Hall, Temple, Tennessee, TCU, Towson and Youngstown State.
The River Course is a par 70 and covers 6,765 yards.
