KINGSMILL, Va. - The Maryland men's golf team finished fifth out of 24 teams in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort Tuesday.
Sophomore David Kocher finished tied for 11th out of 126 golfers with his combined score of 215 (74-67-74), which was five over on the event.
Senior Tom Harris tied for 21st with a score of 218 (72-73-73), which was eight-over total.
Sophomore Joe Brooks earned the Terps' best third-round score Tuesday with a 71. He earned a combined score of 222 (72-79-71) overall. Freshman Timothy Colanta shot a 225 (77-74-74) and freshman Chris Navarro earned a 228 (74-79-75).
"We had a good week of practice in Pinehurst prior to this week," head coach Jason Rodenhaver said. "We weren't sharp playing over break and it carried over this week. A few too many loose shots and not enough birdies. Hopefully, we can get to fixed before we head to the South Carolina in two weeks."
Next, the Terrapins will compete at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in Awendaw, S.C. April 3-5.
