Terps Wrap Up at Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invite

AIKEN, S.C. - The Maryland men's golf team wrapped up at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Palmetto Golf Club Tuesday. Senior Tom Harris went two strokes over par in the 54-hole event to lead the Terps.

Harris went one-under par with a 69 in the first round Monday morning, then shot an even 70 in the second round Monday afternoon. He finished with a 73 to end with a combined score of 212 (69-70-73). He tied for 12th on the leaderboard.

"We just couldn't get things going this week," head coach Jason Rodenhaver said. "Palmetto is a challenging course and when you're not careful, it can bite you. We're looking forward to spring break and a great week of practice in preparation for William and Mary."

Sophomore David Kocher finished in the top 25 with a combined score of 217 (74-73-70), which was +7 on the event.

Sophomore Joe Brooks shot a 224 (73-73-78) overall. Freshman Chris Navarro earned a combined score of 231 (73-75-83) and freshman Timothy Colanta shot a 232 (77-79-76).

As a team the Terrapins finished 10th out of the 18 teams competing.

Next, Maryland will head to the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary, in Kingsmill, Va. March 20-22.
