Egyed Named Third-Team All-Big Ten

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland women's soccer goalkeeper redshirt junior Rachel Egyed was named third-team All-Big Ten, the conference announced.  

Egyed was spectacular throughout the season for the Terps, notching 71 saves in 17 starts. She notched five shutouts. The Clifton, N.J. native starred in Big Ten play, saving penalty kicks against Nebraska and Purdue while making numerous 1-on-1 stops during conference matches.

Egyed is the first player in Maryland women's soccer history to appear on an All-Big Ten team. She was also Maryland's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient.

Maryland finished the season 7-8-3, a four-win improvement over last season.
