storylines
• Maryland leads the all-time series between the two schools 7-0 since the teams first met during the 1976-77 season. The Terps knocked off the Bison 81-52 when the teams last met on November 14, 2008 at the XFINITY Center.
• The Terps earned a 93-57 victory in the only previous meeting between the schools back on November 19, 2004.
• Freshman Darryl Morsell scored 12 of his 15 points in the second half, and Maryland remained unbeaten by rallying from a 15-point deficit to defeat Bucknell 80-78 on Nov. 18.
• The 15-point comeback win was the largest deficit erased by the Terps since coming back from 15 down to beat Tulsa on Dec. 29, 2013 (down 25-10). The Terps also rallied from 15 down to beat Clemson on Feb. 24, 2010 (trailed 31-16).
• The last time Maryland rallied from more than 15 down was Feb. 21, 2009, when it erased a 16-point hole (52-36, 14:17 left in regulation) to defeat North Carolina 88-85 in overtime.
• Anthony Cowan Jr. had 25 points and 10 rebounds, both career highs, and Maryland used a strong shooting performance to beat Butler 79-65 Wednesday night.
• Cowan Jr. became the first Terp to finish with at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a game since Greivis Vasquez posted a triple double (35 points, 11 rebounds 10 assists) vs. North Carolina on February 21, 2009.
• Maryland went 13-5 in home games last season, including a 10-1 mark in non-conference home games. Mark Turgeon's Terrapins have gone 30-2 in non-conference home games since the 2014-15 season.
