Hartshorn Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Freshman midfielder Kali Hartshorn was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the third time this season Tuesday.

In a 20-8 win over Rutgers last Saturday, Hartshorn set a career high with six goals and seven points. She also scored twice and notched six draw controls in a 16-11 win over No. 18 Virginia last Wednesday.

Hartshorn stepped in as the only true freshman in the Maryland starting lineup and immediately became the Terps' main draw control specialist.

The top-ranked Terps (13-0) return to the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex to host No. 7 Princeton (9-1) Wednesday at 7 p.m.
