INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the sixth straight season, the Maryland women's lacrosse team earned the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament Sunday evening.
The Terps (18-1), who received a bye, will host Denver (12-6) and High Point (17-2) in the first round on Friday at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex at 4 p.m. Maryland will face the winner in the second round on Sunday at noon.

Following second round action, four quarterfinal games will be played on Saturday, May 19 or Sunday, May 20, on campus sites. The Final Four will take place in Stony Brook, N.Y. at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium, with the semifinals on Friday, May 25 and the finals Sunday, May 27.
As the defending NCAA Champions, Maryland stands at 18-1 this season and has won both the Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament Titles. The Terps are currently on a 16 game winning streak and have gone 12-1 against ranked teams this season, including a 6-1 record against teams in the top ten.
Maryland leads the nation with 34 NCAA appearances and are also tops in wins (69), championship game appearances (21) and NCAA titles (13). The Terps are making their 29th consecutive appearance in the postseason (1990-2018).
