COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The IWLCA announced on Monday that the Maryland women's lacrosse team is one of 103 Division I programs to earn IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad honors. In addition, eight members of the Maryland women's lacrosse team were selected to the IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll.
To qualify for the prestigious Academic Honor Squad honor, women's lacrosse programs from around the nation had to post a 3.0 or higher team grade-point average for the academic year. As a team, Maryland earned a cumulative GPA of 3.34 and worked towards a 3.409 team GPA in the spring.

Meghan Siverson were all named to the Honor Roll.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
Six of the eight Terps that nabbed Honor Roll accolades were also selected to the Academic All-Big Ten team last month. Additionally, Cummings, Giles, Golladay and Whittle were all named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars, which is given to student-athletes across the conference who have recorded a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.7 or higher for the previous academic year.
Giles, who completed her junior year as a marketing major, maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA during the 2017-18 school year.
