COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- As the team continues to work in spring practice, head coach
Adam Hughes has announced the Maryland volleyball spring competition dates on Thursday.
The Terps will travel to two 2018 NCAA Tournament teams this spring, Navy and Pittsburgh. Maryland will first take on Navy in Annapolis on Thursday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m. The following week, Maryland will head to Pittsburgh to face the Panthers, who finished the season ranked No. 14 in the AVCA Poll. Maryland and Pittsburgh will compete Saturday, April 13 at 1:00 p.m. Maryland will finish up the spring season by competing in a in a beach tournament in Virginia Beach, Va. on Saturday, May 4.Â
Entering Hughes' second season, Maryland is coming off a year where the Terps finished 18-14 with a program best 9-11 record in the Big Ten. The Terps won nine matches in road gyms and 12 in total away from home, beat a ranked opponent (#15 Michigan) on the road for the first time in program history, swept three Big Ten opponents: Iowa, Ohio State and Rutgers and finished their season winning every match in their last 11 not against a top-10 opponent.Â

Maddie Naumann, who will see her first action as a Terp this spring, as well as incoming freshmen Lexi Finnerty, Cara Lewis and Rebekah Rath.Â
