COLLEGE PARK, Md.  – No. 17 Maryland is set for a noon matchup with No. 24 Michigan Sunday at the Wolverines' Crisler Center in Ann Arbor.

The Terps took their first meeting with the Wolverines earlier this year, 70-55, on Dec. 28 in College Park.
Kaila Charles led the way with 23 points and
Shakira Austin,
Ashley Owusu and
Stephanie Jones added 10 points each. Maryland owns the series over Michigan at 8-1.

Last time out, the Terrapins fell just short at Iowa, 66-61, Thursday. Maryland trailed 39-30 at halftime, then went on a 14-2 run in the third quarter to take the lead. The teams traded leads and were tied with 3:29 to play, but Maryland struggled to score throughout the night.

Charles led with 23 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, Austin added 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Blair Watson nabbed a career-high nine steals, which tied the program record, set by Debbie Lytle twice in 1981 and 1982.

The Terrapins are No. 2 in the country in steals (14.2). They are in the top 10 in the nation in scoring margin (+26.3), turnover margin (+8.5), offensive rebounds (17.1) and assists (18.8). Charles leads the Big Ten and is ninth in the country in offensive rebounds (4.5). Watson is second in the league and 14th in the nation in steals (3.4).

With her career-high 18 boards at Iowa, Charles has 818 career rebounds. She passed Alicia DeVaughn (2011-14) to move to No. 10 on the Terps' all-time list. She is one of just six Terrapins to be in the top 10 in scoring and rebounds, joining Alyssa Thomas, Brionna Jones, Marissa Coleman, Vicky Bullett and Crystal Langhorne.
Blair Watson has made 173 career threes. She recently moved to fourth on Maryland's all-time list.
